POWERED BY CONNECTIONS
As Lakewood and its neighboring areas has witnessed a growing influx of retirees, drawn by the allure of living closer to family or vibrant adult communities. Their seasoned individuals bring with them a wealth of life experiences and skills, seeking fresh opportunities and poised to leave their mark.
Connections started with a group of 20 women, aiming to address the diverse needs of this active community. Yet, it swiftly evolved into something much greater, attracting over 1,000 seniors to various events, from educational lectures to social gatherings. This overwhelming response sparked the birth of Lakewood's very first senior center, The Square—a place where retirees can discover fulfilling activities and forge meaningful connections with others.
